Manager, Professional Services

New Century Software, Inc. has an immediate opening for a senior level Manager in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our clients include major North American oil and gas pipeline transmission and gathering companies that have already or are in the process of constructing enterprise integrity management and GIS systems. Responsibilities

Managing a staff of 20 to 25 professionals
Managing customer expectations and consistently meeting and/or exceeding them
Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s products and services
Mentoring junior team members with respect to project management practices
Consulting with clients to analyze and understand client’s business needs, determine requirements, and offer the right solution of products and services to meet those needs
Project planning, staffing, training, cost estimation, proposal preparation, scheduling, quality control, delivery, and implementation
Maintains consistent profit levels within the Professional Services Department
Prepares special reports for customers that document and/or make recommendations regarding the results of special projects or surveys
Remain current with new and existing computer programs, regulations, and philosophies/best-practices related to risk and integrity assessment, management and mitigation
Maintains, improves, and promotes integrity management processes and best practices in New Century and with our clients
Identifies business opportunities with new and existing customers
Prepares proposals for professional service work
Reviews and recommends contracts, change orders and non disclosure agreements
Review project and employee timesheets
Travel as required

Requirements

At least fifteen (15) years of demonstrable project management experience with ability to manage/oversee multiple GIS projects and coordinate GIS and other technical staff.
BS degree or higher in one of the following: Engineering, Surveying, Geography, Computer Science or related field.
A keen understanding of pipeline engineering, operations and software development.
Excellent communication, business development, and client relation skills.
Demonstrated leadership skill and experiences
Demonstrated abilities to deliver projects on time and within budget
Strong customer and client relation experience

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with Pipeline Integrity Management processes and best practices, including ASME B31.8, CSA Z662, risk assessment, data integration, ILI, DA, and other assessment technologies.
Knowledge and experience with Pipeline Construction Management practices
Application, development and database skills
Knowledge and experience with GPS field survey practices and procedures
Relevant GIS experience with ESRI software (ArcGIS, ArcSDE and ArcIMS)
Other relevant business experience: Telecom, transportation, electric utilities
