SheetCutter Server Version 8.0 Now Available
New Century Software is pleased to announce that SheetCutter Server Version 8.0 is now available. SheetCutter Server is a server-based alignment sheet generator that works with the SheetCutter and TemplateDesigner applications to automatically generate new alignment sheets whenever changes occur in the database. This allows an operator to provide the most current alignment sheets to those who need them—when they need them. Operators interested in implementing an enterprise alignment sheet workflow can attend our free webinar on January 25th.
New Year’s Resolution #1: Implement an Enterprise Alignment Sheet Workflow
Kick-off the New Year with New Century Software on January 25, 2013 at 9:30 am (Mountain Standard Time) as we explore what it takes to implement an enterprise alignment sheet workflow. Generating an alignment sheet is only part of the solution to getting accurate maps into the hands of end users. There are four major steps: create the template; generate the sheets, keep the sheets up to date; and share the information with end users. New Century Software has developed a streamlined workflow that will produce consistent outputs, decrease production time and improve efficiency. The presenter will also highlight some of the newest features within the SheetCutter & TemplateDesigner 8.0 release.
The presenter will discuss different industry scenarios such as:
- How to handle matchlines in conjunction with as-built / line relocation workflows
- How the new features in TemplateDesigner will facilitate delivery of alignment sheet documents required by your customers.
- Best practices for delivering alignment sheet documents to the enterprise.
With an enterprise solution you can accomplish the following:
- Increase efficiency
- Provide consistent outputs
- Empower decision-making
- Decrease production time
Who Should Attend:
- Operators only
- Transmission & Gathering operators, involved in new construction, loading new acquisition or survey data, or performing annual maintenance.
- GIS Managers & Analysts
- Integrity Managers
- IT Managers

New Century Software Announces Simultaneous Product Enhancements to Streamline Alignment Sheet Generation
SheetCutter and TemplateDesigner are industry-proven applications used by many of the leading oil and gas companies to produce consistent and fast alignment sheets.
FORT COLLINS, Colorado. (December 10, 2012) — New Century Software announces the release of SheetCutter 8.0 and TemplateDesigner 8.0, industry leading tools for generating alignment sheets from a pipeline GIS implementation within an Esri ArcMap environment. The new release of these sister applications includes significant enhancements to the workflow that pipeline operators and engineering firms experience when generating alignment sheets from a pipeline GIS. During the pipeline planning and construction process, many companies need to generate sheets that can be used to acquire necessary permits. These sheets typically contain information about the pipeline and the features it is intersecting, such as roads, property boundaries, or waterways. SheetCutter 8.0 and TemplateDesigner 8.0 make this process easier.
With this release, users can dynamically create definition queries during sheet generation. These queries filter data from specified layers to control what SheetCutter displays and reports from sheet to sheet, thus giving the user more control over the output. SheetCutter also provides a consolidated Chart band that lets users select whether they want data displayed in line, point, or chart format. They can even dynamically generate elevation charts using raster or the USGS Query Web Service, or plot point pipeline features on the chart, such as plotting crossing on a profile chart, in the same Chart Band. The Save Settings feature brings tremendous value for those who are managing many SheetCutter projects.
